How to Connect Your Agency Catalogue to Dyqani App — Domain Verification, Step by Step
How a real-estate agency connects its own website to Dyqani App: what we read, the single step you have to do, the two independent switches, and an honest statement of what the system does and does not do today.
What this is
Dyqani App can read property listings directly from your agency's own website, so you don't have to enter them twice — once on your site and once on Dyqani. Internally this is called an agency source.
The connection never starts on its own, and it does not start from your side. The Dyqani team registers it, and only after you prove the website is genuinely yours. Without that proof, nothing moves.
Who it works for today
One kind of website is supported today: WordPress running the Houzez theme — the most common theme for real-estate agencies. If your site is built another way, we cannot connect it yet.
Quick check: open your website address in a browser with /wp-json/wp/v2/properties added at the end. If it returns text containing property data, you are ready.
What Dyqani reads — and what it never touches
We read only the public WordPress API, exactly the same data any visitor to your site can already see.
- We never ask you for a password, an administrator account, FTP, or database access.
- We never write anything to your website. The connection is read-only and one-directional.
- Our fetcher identifies itself openly as
DyqaniBot/1.0 (+https://dyqani.app), so you can recognise it in your server logs. - Reading is strictly bounded: at most 3 redirects, a 5-second connection timeout and 25 seconds overall. We will not load your server.
Your only task: publish the verification code
The Dyqani team sends you a code that is unique to your site. It looks like this:
dyqani-verify-a1b2c3d4e5f6...
Choose one of the two methods — not both:
Method 1 — a tag on your homepage (easiest)
Place this line inside the <head> of your homepage:
<meta name="dyqani-site-verification" content="dyqani-verify-YOUR-CODE">
The code only needs to appear somewhere on the homepage — inside another element works too.
Method 2 — a DNS record
Add a TXT record on your domain with the code as its value. This method is checked first.
Once done, tell the Dyqani team. Verification takes one click and there is nothing further for you to do. You can leave the code in place afterwards; it causes no harm.
The two switches after verification
Domain verification only proves the site is yours. On its own it makes nothing happen. Two further steps are required, both performed by Dyqani:
- Recording the authorisation — a formal record that you gave permission, including who recorded it, when, and from where.
- Turning sync on — an entirely separate switch. Without it the source stays dormant even when everything else is in order.
The two switches are independent. Neither one alone is enough.
Important: no listing is imported today
We want to state this plainly so there is no misunderstanding. Today this system does only the following:
- registers your website as a source;
- verifies that the domain is yours;
- stores your authorisation;
- allows a read-only preview of the catalogue, so our team can see how many properties exist and how they look.
No property is created, modified or published on Dyqani by this system — not even when sync is switched on. The part that writes listings has not been built yet. When it is, we will tell you before it is enabled for your agency.
Until then, listings reach Dyqani the way they always have: from your own dashboard, or through our team.
Limits set from the start
When your source is registered, two limits are set, and both stay visible to you:
- New properties per run — 25 by default, 200 maximum. This prevents any mistake from filling your page with hundreds of listings at once.
- How often it reads — once every 24 hours by default. The minimum is one hour, the maximum two weeks.
How to stop it, at any time
Just write to us and the source moves to paused immediately. There is no notice period, no procedure, and no reason required.
You can also stop it yourself by removing the verification code from your website — without it, the source cannot be re-confirmed.
If your site fails to respond three times in a row, the source moves itself into an error state and stops. We do not keep knocking.
How to start
Write to us from your Dyqani agency account and give us your website address. We register the source and send you the verification code. The rest is on us.
Two prerequisites: your Dyqani account must be verified, and it must have an agency profile.
